Loft Conversion

Loft conversions don’t always have to be flat roofed. In this instance, a dilapidated, undeveloped, 3 bedroom detached bungalow was redesigned and refurbished into a 4 bedroom detached house. This large loft conversion involved the creation of 3 dormer bedrooms, a bathroom, an en-suite shower room and a feature oak-dressed galleried landing and staircase. The only element in this project that required planning permission, related to the small front facing dormer window over the new staircase, the rest of the work was designed within permitted development. The staircase is sited in the area that was previously defined as the small single bedroom which was opened up to form an imposing main entrance hall, the 4th bedroom remains at ground floor and incorporates its own en-suite facility.
